Understanding Writers Dashboard as a Writer

Below these above, you’ll see the

  • Chat Section
  • Latest Proposals Section
  • Buyers Offer Section, and
  • My Gig section.

Now, let’s help you navigate this platform easily.

#1. Profile

For writers, the first and most important section of the dashboard is the “Profile”. This is where you clearly describe yourself as a freelance writer. It contains an empty button to fill in your personal details.

As shown above, the profile is at the top left side of the dashboard. It comprises your personal details that can sell you to a buyer. So, make sure your profile is interesting.

We will say, the Profile is basically your Freelance Writing Portfolio. Hence, be extra careful and take it seriously.

#2. Jobs Currently Working On

The next section of the dashboard is the “Jobs Currently Working On.”

This section is self-explanatory. It clearly tells both you and your buyer the number of jobs you’re currently working on.

The major reason for this section is to enable a buyer who urgently needs work done for them not to select someone who has piles of work on their schedules.

To you, this seems not cool for a writer, right? That’s completely not true.

Having piles of work on your dashboard is detrimental to any writer and you might end up not meeting the deadline of the buyers.

Most buyers often request their work to be submitted on or before the deadline. And failure to do so can cost your reputation and assessment score on the site.

So, why not take one at a time?

#3. Ledger and Available Balance

The “Ledger Balance” and “Available Balance” is at the right side of the dashboard.

This section discloses to you the amount you have made from the platform.

The “Ledger Balance” means the sum of the total job amount you’re currently working on, while the “Available Balance” means the amount you can withdraw.

The balance you have on the “Ledger Balance” moves to the “Available Balance” when you must have completed a job and the buyer approves it, then the platform pays you.

#4. Completed Jobs

Just directly below the Ledger and Available Balance, you will see the “Completed Jobs” section.

This section gives a numerical summary of the total jobs you’ve completed from the day you joined the platform.

Of course you should know that it will be empty if you’re not getting jobs from buyers.

#5. Gigs Created

Directly below the “Completed Jobs”, you will find the “Gigs Created” section.

This section of the Dashboard gives a numerical summary of the total Gigs a writer has. The Gigs here are created by a Writer.
